FRASER ROAD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION. A successful meeting was held on Tuesday night last. Mr. R. B. Wood, M. U.C.V.S., lectured on contagious mammitis, and went very thoroughly into his subject. There is no known cure, he said, but at the same time his description of the disease and the safeguards he enumerated provided all the knowledge necessary to combat the disease. His exposition was scholarly and very clear. For more than throe, hours attention never wavered. Farmers forgot to smoke. That he is a friend to farmers i.s proved by his niter to come within a month from date to give a demonstration on Fraser Road of the internal economy of thp cow. A beast is forthcoming, and at the next meeting of the members a place will he fixed upon. Mr. Wood answered many questions and received a hearty vote of thanks.
