In the fourth round of the singles Kalms defeated Kinsey, 6-1, 6-3. Patterson and Wood defeated Hayes and Squaer, formerly holders of the clay court title, 6-3, 6-4. In the third roimd of the doubles Kalms and Schlesiger defeated Parmalee and Ruvnitzky 6-3, 6-1. UNIVERSITY TOURNEY IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, July 18. At tennis the Stanford University defeated the Australian Universities in the doubles, winning two matches. The singles ended evenly, both winning two matches.
