THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale at times, backing by west to south. The weather will probably .prove cold and showery. The night will probably be very cold. Barometer rising soon.' Seas considerable; tides good.
