Ihe farm comprises 200 acres carrying this season 57 cows and drv stock. He- had been in difficulties for two seasons owing to the low' price of butter-fat, and in March the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company obtained judgment against him for £l5O, and certain stock and chatels were sold by them. He had endeavoured to re-finance, but had tailed. He attributed his position to the reduction in income, because of the fall m the price of butter-fat, and to the high rental and high cost of commodities used on the farm. The creditors are as follows Secured : John Routley £556 10s (value or security £594), Fresh Food and Ice Go. £33 (estimated value £130). Unsecured; New Zealand Loan and Mer<crntl m Farmers’ Co-op. Tt was resolved that no claim bo made on the furniture by creditors. A suggestion was made that the validity of the largest secured creditor should be tested. After discussion, it was decided that the meeting lie adiourned for a week to allow secured creditors to make an offer. The meeting then adiourned.
