WEDDING.
HOOKER—WORTHINGTON. A very pretty wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church, Helensville, on Wednesday, March the Rev. White officiating, when Miss Mary Frances Worthington, eldest daughter of Mrs, T. Worthington, of Helensville (and formerly of Taumarunui) was married to Mr. George Broeklehurst Hooker, eldest son of Mrs. Jessie Hooker, of Matapu. The bride wa-s gowned in. a frock of white satin with radium lace, and wore an embroidered tulle veil with the customary wreath of orange blossoms. A delightful note of colour was introduced in the bridal bouquet, which was a sheaf of pale pink and cream gladioli with asparagus fern. hi attendance upon the bride was her sister, Miss Hilary Worthington, who wore a graceful frock of jade green moroeain, with grey shoes and stockings, and carried a .sheaf of salmon pink gladioli with asparagus fern. Mr. A. G. Otto, of T auniarunui, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s mother'. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Hooker left on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a, smart grey knitted costume with hat to mr»tch.
