PLAY IN AMERICA. NEW YORK. July 9. For the first 18 holes in the Metropolitan open tournament, MacFarlane and Turner led the field of 100 golfers with a pair of 71’s. Farrell was third with 73, and Kirkwood thirtieth with 78. TOURNAMENT AT LE TOTJQUET. LONDON, July 10. Miss Lascelles was defeated at Le Toquet. The finalists are Miss Cecil Leitch and Miss Sunnewell, an American.
