Relative to the reported intention to increase the hank rate the Federation of British Industries, in a letter to the governor of the Bank of England, draws/ attention to the adverse effects upon enterprise of an increase in the rates enumerated in the report of the Currency Committee, 1919, and adding that similar effects at nresent would be most serious.—Aus.-N.Z.
