FAKE DIPLOMAS.

*— DISCLOSURES IN AMERICA. MANY INDICTMENTS. BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT SAN FRANCISCO, July S. The State’s action against the medical frauds resulted in a grand jury indictment of nineteen physicians, involving allegations that they operated a so-called diploma mill or were beneficiaries thereunder. The indictments followed the hearing before a State board of medical examiners, at which a journalist from Missouri, who entered the school in order to study its methods, testified damagingly concerning the means whereby trustful students were victimised. Among the physicians indicted was one from Maryland, and nine Californians, the balance being from Missouri, including Dr Adcox, who is serving a two year sentence for bribery. The frauds indicate that St. Louis, Missouri,, is the centre of operations. Missouri’s official representatives are following closely every indictment at the trial in order to tighten the net around the remaining suspects.
