, SYDNEY. July 8. The past decade lias been notable for a decrease in the number of university students graduating in minim-- and metallurgy. Since 1920 only one student every, year has taken liis degree in this school. At one time it was not uncommon Tor ten to twenty to graduate yearly. Melbourne University lias also experienced a decline. A proposal lias been made to enlarge the scope of the present curriculum at Sydney University to cm brace the study of chemical engineering.
