WEDDING.

SCOTT—SHUTTLEWORTH. The beautiful little church at- Little Akaroa (Canterbury) was . crowded to overflowing on the occasion of the wedding of Gladys Pearl, only daughter of Mrs Shuttleworth and the late Mr J. Shuttleworth, “Accrington,” Chorlton to William Ernest, second son of Mr D. Scott and the late Mrs Scott, “Delvin,” Kapuni. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr Stan Shuttleworth, wore a gown of white brocaded satin and silk radium lace. The ■ beautiful veil of silk tulle was worn mop cap style witli sprays of orange blossom. She carried a beautiful bouquet. Two tiny tots, Miss Shirley Shuttleworth, niece of the bride, and Master Raymond Craw;, cousin of the bride, were train-bearers. Miss Myra Scott, sister of the bridegroom, was the only bridesmaid. She wore an apple green silk marocain frock, and carried a bouquet. The bouquets were the gifts of Mrs Clyde Waghorn. Mr Claude Shuttleworth, brother of the bride, was best man. The Rev. F. Thorpe officiated, while Miss Waghorn presided at the organ. Over a hundred .guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. The hostess, Mrs Shuttleworth, wore a smart nigger brown costume trimmed with brown fur, and small brown hat with touches of peacock blue. Several toasts were heartily honoured. When the bride left for her ■wedding tour she a. smart mole costume, heavily braided;, with shoes and stockings td match, and a. jade / green panne velvet hat edged with brown fur.
