ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND IN A CREEK. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION A AUCKLAND, July 7. The body of Mrs Dorothy Maddock was found in a creek near her residence at East Tamaki. She was missed on Sunday evening, and her jumper was found near the creek. Deceased who was aged 29, recently obtained,-.-a divorce from her husband. She leaves two young children. ' CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. AUCKLAND, July 7. On Saturday night a hotel employee, aged 22. was found- in'the back preniises with blood issuing . from, cuts on the throat and wrists. He first stated that he was attacked by three- men. one of whom- attacked him... with a. knife. Subsequently lie' admitted that the story was concopted, and that he had really attempted his life, using the blade of- a safety razor. The wounds were trifling. He . has been charged \yith having attempted to- commit suicide.
