Tin's morning about 90 Standard YT. ■pupils listened to a most interesting lecture by Mr Schmitt in the Winter Show Buildings before the display by the Department of Industries and Commerce. The lecturer gave listeners some idea of the importance of New Zealand manufactures, and emphasised the need for supporting local industry in every possible way. This afternoon a second lecture was given to another batch of pupils, and if desired further lectures will be given before the show closes.
