Mr. Coghlan has purchased for the Mitchell Library the diary of William Bradley, lieutenant on H.M.S. Sirius, dated 1792, describing the whole voyage and experiences at Port Jackson. The diary i s written in Bradley’s own hand and is illustrated with excellent water colour sketches, charts and maps. It is regarded as one of the greatest finds relating to early Australian history, and was purchased ‘from Bradley’s descendants.
