This firm have recently acquired the old-estabhsliecl business of John Blake and Sons Ltd., of the Criterion ri*Hau'ei'a, and also have a verv elhcient service, station at Egmon't Garage, Elthani. The premises at Regent street, Hawera, are more fullv equipped than any garage in Taranaki tor all. brandies of repair work Among the exhibits of the AYiliter Show the display of AYiliys-Knight, v)veiland, and Fiat cars by the above hrm is very outstanding/ and well worth a visit. A five-seater Touring, and a threes eater Roadster Willvs-Knight are shown. Both these cars/ire fitted with the world-famous Knight sleeve valve engine, renowned I'm- it* silence and low fuel consumption. This wonderful motor develops power greatly in excess of poppet valve motors of the same capacity, and actually improves with use. The colonial bodywork on the Roadster model is by Messrs Stevens, of Christchurch, and is a good example of their work.
f"o models oi the Overland are shown—a five-seater Redbird and a uii'ee-seater Roadster with colonial body. Overlands are vei'v well and favourably known in Taranaki as ■ a cheap car for. the farmer, and are an ideal proposition on account of their low running costs. A car which always aupeals to the connoisseur is the Fiat.' and the firm are showing two beautiful models of this car with five-seater bodies. The Fiat has an international reputation, and is extensively used bv Royalty! The amazing power output, together with a benzine consumption of 30 miles per gallon, endears all owners of this big little engine. h idlest information can be obtained at the stand, and the firm will he only too pleased to arrange a demonstration with any of the cars for interested persons.
