DRAWING ROOM' FURNISHINGS. Messrs Arthurs,, Limited, the wellknown firm of furnishers, are exhibiting _an attractive display: of* drawingroom furnishings and’upndlstery. Tlie central attraction is an elegant, suite in black and gold tapestry . This, is a most- artistic prodiictioii',' designed' and executed in the firm’s owii factory, the designing being based on; a wejl-known -English pattern. . Furtlier fine .examples of upholstering are; .the suites ..in moquette and shadow tissue included in the display, it bsiifg evident, from: tlieir handsome appearance that only the best ! materials and workmanship have- been employed in tlieir production.. Two small occasional ’ tables in highlypolished Queensland maple are also shown, while an imposing array of fine Wilton Carpets of. various sizes and Colourings, which are draped round the WailJs,-provides an -effective ybackgroiuub for the fiirnisliings arranged in the body of the .stand. Tire firm, in. arranging. tlie display, has -..endeavoured to -avoid over-crowcling tlie space at their disposal, tlieir' object being merely to show' a few examples of the! many excellent furniture effects which they are'able to offer the public. Viewing the, display, one is impressed with the dignity and comfort suggested in the appearance of the examples shown, and with the opinion that Arthur’s furnishings would grace any. home in which they happened to he placed.
