TERRITORIALS.
CAMP AT WAVERLEY. a The territorial camp of the Queen Alexandra Mounted Regiment, under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel D. Munro, Avhieh was held on the Wa-ver-ley racecourse during the past eight days, was a great success. Although the weather was bad at limes, excellent work was done. Tire various squadrons returned home yesterday. The A Squad ron, under Lieut. Ferens, an'ived in Wanganui by the afternoon train. The baud, numbering 28. under Lieut. G. Buckley, also arrived by the same train! The band gave a recital in the Wayerley Toym Hall on Saturday night; in aid of the Agricultural Soqiety. The function was a great success. On Sunday morning church parade, conducted by, Padre Bush-King, of Haw-era-,Valid Chaplain Fraser, of Normanby, was held at the camp, after which the whole regiment, liumberin'g about 300, marched- to Wayerley, headed by the' band playing the march “Wairoa,” which was the’ original name of the regiment. o<n Sunday afternoon, the band gave another find 'programme, at the camp, hundreds of visitors coming from’ the -.surrounding district.
