COOKING REQUIREMENTS
HAWERA GAS COMPANY’S EXHIBIT. Demonstations in the modern art of cookery are to be given daily, ju the afternoons and evenings, by pupils of the home science division of the Hawera TcchnMi&'f High' School, i u the kitchen -which has been arranged bv the Hawera Gas Company on the- stand placed at the disposal of. the school bv the Winter Show Company. The . fittings include a very fine examule of the' English gas cooker made bv Messrs Parkinson and Co., and a Champion
cooker made by the well-known jinn of Messrs Rrincley and Co., of Dunedin. Doth of the cookers combine the most up-to-date improvements, aiid are designed to provide the utmost convenience in the household kitchen.
On the. adjoining stand a Victor bath, heater, erected ! over a porcelain bath and connected with a wash-hand basin, demonstrates the convenience and rapidity with which hot water for ablutional purposes may be obtained without having to depend upon the range boiler hot-water system. Also on view is the latest Economic Copper. This is strongly made of pumice concrete, and is heated with an improved high-power gas burner, the construction being so •designed as to enable it to heat with the greatest rapidity and to retain its heat for the Maximum period. At the same time it provides for the utmost economy in gas consumption Owing to its convenience, economy, and cleanliness this copper should recommend itself to all housewives. As a recommendation of the satisfactory service given by the Economic Gas C#pper it is interesting to note that the Christchurch? Gas Company sold oyer 200 within a short time after their haying been placed on the market, ' and in every case the users have been highly pleased with the installation.. ”• Also to be seen on this stand are several modern gas stoves, boiling burners, and grillers. These are exhibited for sale, and may bo purchased on very easy time' payment -terms. A member of the company’s staff will be in attendance throughout the show and will be pleased to afford demonstrations to all interested. The company also exhibits specimens of its well-known house, kitchen, and second kitchen coal, as well as Westport and State coal and samples of- crushed coke.
