MEAT EXPORTS
FIGURES FOR THE YEA&. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, June 38. The Meat Producers’ Board reports that the frozen meat shipped from New Zealand for the 1923-24 season was: Beef 176,078 quarters, mutton 1,095,238 carcases, lamb 3,700,468 carcases. Killings at all works.—Beef 280,366 quarters, wether mutton 964,036 carcases, ewe mutton 854.746 carcases, lamb 4,676,999, sundries 288,432. Stocks on hand at , 15th June totalled: Beef 95,594 quarters, wether mutton 308,400 carcases, ewe mutton 476,966, lamb 1,033,002, sundries 130,273. Stocks loaded into steamers and not departed from New Zealand at the same date were: Beef 14,444 quarters, mutton 4898 carcases, lamb 32,161.
