R. P. Morrissey and Co. will sell by public, auction to-morrow at 1.30 p.m',, quantity furniture and sundries. A reminder is given of the clearing sale to be held by the Farmers’ and Newton Xing, Ltd., to-morrow (Tuesday) at the farm, Sutherland road, Manaia, when Mr T. McPhillips’ fine Jersey herd will lie submitted. It comprises 104 grade Jersey cows and heifers and nearly 50 pigs. The herd is well known as one of the best in the district, and has shown a remarkably good average of butter-fat returns at the factory. It is a good opportunity for anyone looking for good butter-fat producing cows. At the same time will be offered all the household fumiture and effects. It will be noted that Mr McPhillips has leased his farm and is giving up dairying.
