IF GERMANY DEFAULTS. INTER-ALLIED DEBTS. ST CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received June 28, 9.25 a.m. PARIS, June 27. Tn submitting an account of the Chequers and Brussels conversations to the Senate and Chamber, M. Herriot said that Mr MacDonald had told him that in the event of a German default in the execution of the Dawes plan Britain would solemnly undertake to stand by the Allies. Britain desired Germany to give a written undertaking to carry out the necessary measures for the execution of the plan. M. Herriot insisted to Air MacDonald the necessity for a settlement of the inter-Allieil debts question, and the British Premier admitted that they should be taken up without delay.—Reuter.
