Wool: Bradford position is not changed, and is causing great variety. Factories working on half-time. Prices for tops: 64’s (merino), 5s 9d; 56’s (super half-breds), 3s lid; 40’s (prepared, coarse crossbred), 3s 3d.

The Bank of New Zealand produce department has received the following advice from its London office, under date June 21:

Butter firm at 178 s per ewt. Cheese quiet. Fresh landed 90s per cwt., stored 87s to 88s. •Frozen Meat. —The market for wethers is dull and the tendency is downwards. Ewe.s have a weaker tendency. The larnb market is well supplied. Ox beef is depressed owing to heavy arrivals iron) Argentina. The market for cow beef is dull, there being little demand.
