♦ DECISION BY CANADA. CHEAP ADVERTISING. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received June 25/9.20 a.m, OTTAWA, June 24. Tn connection with a vote of 300,000 dollars for the British Empire Exhibition, Mr. Robb, Minister for I immigration, said in the Commons that the Government considered it wise to send seven delegates, representing the different parties and the Senate, to mingle with the representatives of other parts of the Empire. The? cost of transportation was 400 dollars each, and the living expenses of 20 dollars daily in London would be defrayed by the Government. It, was suggested that the Chief Whip be considered for the trip. It is also the intention to, include two members of the press gallery, there being no cheaper way of advertising than through the press. The delegation will be absent five or six weeks.
