WRY THIS EXPENDITURE?

(To the Editor.) Sir, Ratepayers may well ask why the expense of formation of a narrow path in Little Regent Street:-' Who asked for this? Who comprised the deputation of householders, who have one tar-sealed footpath, to say nothing oi a tar-sealed road? The ratepayers ot Little Regent Sueet are well provided tor. If the Borough Council has money to spend there would have been more sense in completing the flanks of Regent Street oiC both sides, or tarsealing the narrow part of Grey Street in front of Mr, Hislop’s property: this portion of road should have been done long ago. Trusting those responsible for the extravagance will exolain to the ratepayers. Thanking you Mr. Editor, —f am, etc. RATEPAYER.
