Russell Maughan hopped off from a Mitchell, field at half a minute to three this morning in a third, attempt to span the continent from New York to San Francisco between dawn and dusk.—Reuter. NEW YORK, June 23. A Chicago despatch says the storm which wrecked eleven Government aeroplanes at Omana on Sunday night will not delay the New York to San Francisco air mail service, which is scheduled to open on July I. The postal authorities announce that twenty airplanes at midway stations are being equipped with lights for night-flying.
