(From Our Own Correspondent.) CHILDREN'S FANC Y DRESS BALL. The- children’s fancy dress hall which was held last Thursday night by the returned soldiers in the Murutiu- Town Hall, was a pronounced success, the hall being crowded. It was regarded as the best- display of fancy dresses ever seen in the hall. The prize-winners in each section looked splendid and original; in fact, every child looked well. Even the returned soldiers were lcpiesented in the grand march by the little soldier and his bride, who were vepy 'much admired bv the onlookers. Oreat credit is certainly due to Airs. Collier and her assistants lor their Double- and time in making such a tine display with the children in the grand march and various dances. Air. S. oreaves (president of the Returned Soldiers’ Association) returned thanks to all who had assisted to make this year's ball such a success, especially the ladies’ committee and Airs.
