A RUNAWAY.

— TWO PEOPLE INJURED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.! DUNEDIN, June 23. A sensational runaway took place today, when a horse attached to a delivery van bolted along Princes street towards one of the busiest parts of the city. The horse swerved • up High street, and the van crashed into a telegraph post outside an hotel. A woman named Airs Manders was knocked down, but was not seriously injured, and a man named Kropp, an hotel porter, aged about 37, was struck by a shaft and seriously injured about the head and face. He was removed to hospital, where an operation was performed, and he is reported to be progressing satisfactorily.
