An attempt was made to prevent Rose Prince, the 1923 Cesarewitch Winner, irom starting in the Alexander Stakes at Ascot, for whicli he was heavily backed, Hi,s stable was entered during the night. Rose Prince was driven out, and he was found roaming the fields next morning a considerable distance away. He receded heavily in the betting market, as he appeared to have no chance in the race but won bv a neck. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
