This Stud was established bv the purcdiase outright of the late G. P. Donnelly ’s Famous Stud. The stud was established in 1903, when the late Mr Donnelly acquired from Ills Majesty the King the champion and reserve champion rams at the English Roval Show, together with 12 selected ewes from the same flock. Later importations on a big scale were again made from the Sandringham Stud, and also from Messrs J. and W. Langmead, and in 1913 from Sir J. Coleman, of the reserve champion ram at the English Royal Show. In 1921, by purchase, Mr Van Ashe also divided the complete Mangatewai Stud of F. A. Price, Esq., with Major Taverner. See history of Flock No. 70, which shows that' this stud originated from direct descendants of imported sheep and the noted imported ram Guildford, the best of his day, and whose blood was availed of in the best flocks in N.Z., including that of Mr Donnelly.

The 'Craggy Range Floek has been entirely GRASS FED, and the Auctioneers recommend this Stud with every confidence to prospective buyers, as being typical in every respect of the best of the breed.
