ELECTION CANDIDATES

(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION:) TE AWAMUTU, June 21. Interest in the selection of a Reform candidate for the Waikato seat at the next election is grooving, and a conference of branch delegates in July here Will make a final selection. Aspirants already announced are Messrs A. C. Dent (Kawliia), J. T. Johnson (Te Awamutu), D. S. Reid (Ngahinapouri). Messrs Dent and Johnson both contested the seat last election. Mr Reid is chairman' of the Waipa County Council. Other probables are Messrs Mervyn Wells (Cambridge) and Major Samuel (Tirau). The present member will definitely seek re-election in the Liberal interests. No indication has so far been made of a Labour eondidate.
