FAKE PHYSICIANS.

AMERICA’S MEDICAL FRAUDS. WELL-KNOWN DOCTOR SENT' TO G AOL. BP CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, June 18. A St. Louis (Missouri) message says: State-wide investigation into medical frauds, particularly the socalled “diploma mills,” resulted in the conviction of Dr. Robert Adcox, a noted St. Louis physician, who was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary. It is stated to have been proved that Dr. Adcox bribed the local superintendent of schools to issue a medical college registrant certificate, falsely declaring that the registrant had completed a high school education, thereby enabling him to enter the medical college. This, it is stated, is the first conviction with medical frauds, and paves the way to sentences for a group of Dr. Adcox’s associates.
