An intimation that he might not be leaving the Dominion before the end of November was made by the Gover-nor-General (Lord Jellieoe) at a social n to ' ni ght under the auspices of the Manawatu A. and P. Association. -Lord Jelhcoe s aid he hoped to remain to attend the first Royal Show at Palmerston North. He expressed regret at his impending departure from these shores, declaring that his impiessions of New Zealanders would always he in the memories of Ladv Jellieoe and ‘himself. ~ '

The Prime Minister (Mr. W. F. Massey) paid a tribute to the services of Lord Jelhcoe.
