THE PRESIDENCY. DEMOCRATS’ NOMINEE. IT CABLI—PRSSS ASSOCIAnOK—COPYRIGHX NEW YORK, June 18. The campaign of Mr. William G. McAdoo for the Democratic nomination for the presidency entered on the final phase when he arrived and took advisory charge of his forces to day. A staff of ‘‘boomers’’ for the candidacy of Mr. James Cox for the presidency is also busy. The supporters of Mr. McAdoo announce that they ivill issue a daily newspaper to be called the Progressive Democrat. Tire National Democratic convention of negroes adopted a resolution, declaring that the Democratic platform was broad enough for their feet.
Ihe ieeliug between the opposing Democratic factions in Missouri is so bitter that the “dry” and “wet” delegates intend to travel to New York in separate trains. LA FOLLETTE ELIMINATED. WASHINGTON, June 18. A telegram from St. Paul says that Senator Robert M. La Follette has been eliminated as the Presidential candidate of the National FannerLabour Progressive convention.
