In connection with the mysterious wireless S.O.S. call received by the "Wellington wireles sstation on Monday, the manager of the Yamashita Shipping Company states the Java Marti is stranded near Kobe, and this, he believes, would account for the message received in New Zealand. He adds .that it is gratifying to learn that Australia and New Zealand will be able to communicate so closely with Japan through radio at no distant date.
