A very great number of dancers and onlookers were present, and the unanimous opinion of those present was that it was one of the most successful dances ever held in Patea. A feature of the dance was the tasteful way in which the Hall and supper room were decorated with streamers and coloured lights, the effects being most pleasing, and reflected great credit on those responsible for the carrying out of the work. The Premier Orchestra isupplied the music and Messrs. W. Fitzwater and J. Haworth were untiring in their duties as M.C.’.s. Rifleman M. Carey has again won the championship of the Patea Rifle Club.
