INTER-COLLEGIATE; GAME. PALMERSTON DEFEATS WAIRARAPA. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., June 18. _ln a Rugby match to-day Palmerston North Boys’ High School defeated Wairarapa High School by 23 points to 3.As a team the visitors were outclassed. Turner was in the limelight for Palmerston, and scored three of the seven tries. The other . scorers were Lancaster, Scorgie, Scott and Tremewan. Williamson converted one. For the Losers, Williams scored - a good dry after every back had handled the ball. ; POVERTY BAY DEFEAT BUSH. PAHIATUA, June 28. Poverty Bay narrowly defeated Bush by 6 points to 3. It was a vigorous game and evenly contested, hut the visiting backs were superior. Tries were scored for Poverty Bay by it. Y\ haitiri and Langlands, and for Bush "a try was scored by Ryan. ALL BLACKS IN WALES. DATES SLIGHTLY ALTERED. WELLINGTON, June 18. Advice received- by- mail, from England states that the -committee of the Welsh Rugby Union, at a meeting at Cardiff, allocated the fixtures in connection with the tour- of the New Zealand team as follows: September 29, New Zealand v. Swansea- October 2, New Zealand v. Newport; November 22, New Zealand v. Cardiff; November 29, New Zealand v. Wales (international), at Swansea; December 27, New Zealand v. Llanelly. The above dates differ slightly from those set out by the English Rugby Union in its allocation of fixtures to Wales. It is considered likely that the Swansea and Newport matches may be played-on-Saturday, September 27, and Wednesday, October 1, respectively. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. Okaiawa.
