MEAT PRODUCERS’ BOARD.
ELECTION OF PRODUCERS’ REPRESENTATIVES. An advertisement appeared in yesterday’s issue dealing with the election or two producers’ representatives on the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. The regulations under ' which the election is conducted provide that the various districts shall elect twenty-five delegates, who will constitute an Electoral Committee which will assemble in August and elect the producers’ representatives. The number of delegates to be selected bv tht various sheep districts is as follows : —Auckland 2, Hawke’s liay-Gisborne 6, Wellington\Vest Coast a, Mairlborough-Nelsou-Vestland 2, Canterburv-Kaikoura 5, Otago 5; total, 20. The latest official sheep returns (which at present are those at April 30, 1923) shall be the electoral roll. Every sheepowner on this list having 100 sheep or over 1 shall be entitled to vote for delegates to the electoral committee. Nominations for delegates on the Electoral Committee or for producers’ representatives may be made by any two sheep-farme'rs appearing on the official sheen returns as owning not less than 100 sheep. Forms of nominations are obtainable at the hoard’s office, Wellington. Nominations for delegates to the Electoral Committee will be '.received at the board’s office. Wellington, up to noon on July 10. 1924, whilst nominations ior producers’ representatives on the board will be received up to noon on August 14 1924. fn accordance with the provisions of the Moat Export Control Act. the members of the hoard who are to retire in August are Messrs T.
