REPARATIONS.
GERMANY WANTS HER LOST COLONIES. SUGGESTED INTERNATIONAL QOMPANY, BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. BERLIN, June 17. That the scope of the experts’ report should not be limited to Europe is suggested by Herr Schacht, president of the Reichstag, in an article in the Vossische Zeitugg. He advocates the formation of an international chartered colonial company for the joint development of ex-German colonies by Germany and the Allies. He declares that this is the logical development of the train of thought started by the experts’ report with a view to joint economic work. He concluded by saying In order to pay reparations Germany wants markets, especially colonial territories capable of absorbing her products and surplus population and supplying raw materials, the deficiency, of which is severely felt by German industrv.
