AUTUMN ELECTION PROPOSAL

Colonel Wedgwood, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in a speech delivered during the week-end, warned Labour members against a Liberal suggestion for an autumn election. He declared that the next. Budget would deal with land for. the people, and there would very likely be an appeal to the electorate upon it. TALK OF ELECTION. Received June 17, 1.25 p.m. LONDON, June 16. Replying to a question in the Commons suggesting the possibility' of an election before the autumn session in November, Mr MacDonald said he was perfectly certain the autumn session would be reached without one.—Reuter.
