AN INTERESTING DISCOVERY. BLONDE INDIANS REPORTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, June 14. A message from Colon (Panama) states that the centuries-old theory of the existence of so-called blonde Indians may shortly be established as the result of a- report that an American expedition which has been exploring the Darien jungles during the past five months has* succeeded in its quest, and is returning to Colon, en route for New York. The personnel of the expedition number six, of whom two perished from tropical fever. A message from the leader, Richard Marsh, states : “I shall be ready to sail for New York in three weeks, accompanied by the king of the Darien Indians and two white Indians, a boy aged l'J and a girl aged 21. They are golden haired, blue eyed, and White skinned, and their bodies are covered with long, downy, white hair. They are not the standard Albino type, but appear to be primitive Nordic whites. AVe discovered evidences of the ancient civilisation, and secured a fine ethnological collection of moving pictures." Marsh used an aeroplane to reconnoitre and for charting accurate topographic routes, which he Subsequently pursued. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
