AT WEMBLEY.
-———~♦- — ; GREAT CROWD OF VISITORS. BRONCHO RIDERS AND LASSOERS BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, June 15. Nearly 250,000 persons profited by the weather forecast of a- brief fine spell, and visited Wembley. On Saturday 90.000 people were present, including representatives of the humanitarian societies, at the opening of the international rodeo. The spectators delightfully cheered the hair-raising exploits of the broncho riders and lassoers, but were angry at the demonstration occasioned by the steer roping contest, when a steer’s leg was broken. Thousands of people rose in their places and booed their continued protest for the remainder of the performance.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
