Train-one. cabaret, of which he is the proprietor; It is stated that a trooper was shot in the neck while running to Brennan s assistance.

James Hughes ancl Frank Rossi, believed to be two of a hand-of five mviderers, are under arrest. Brennan was chatting when Hughes asked him to step aside for a moment. Shots were heard just afterwards. Brennan’s sister, an in ticss known as Shirley Sherman, said she ran outside and saw five men running away. The band, according to the police, are members of “Hell’s Kitchen,” who bore a grudge against Brennan at some time.

Brennan knocked out 65 opponents, and was himself knocked out only by Dempsey, Firpo and Miske.
