——♦ MEETING OF EG MONT COMMITTEE A meeting of the General Committee of the E'gmont A. and P. Association was held on Saturday. Present: Messrs E. A. Washer (chairman), S. C. Tonics, F. Gillanders, H. EL Johnson, H. and N. Wren, C. H. Washer, W. McL’Dowie, H. Middleton, G. Ford, B. C. Ly.saght, A. E. Death, J. Forbes, J. Tomlinson, D. S. Richardson, E. Death, F. Mills, jum\, D. Crocker, H. Findlay, A. Lanlcow, A. Hunter, and J- S. T. Short. Apologies were received for the absence of Messrs. J. D. Scott and F. Hoskin. The Stratford A. and P. Association wrote forwarding particulars of expenses incurred in connection with the association’s concert held last year. On the motion of Mr. Middleton, it was decided that the matter of holding a concert be referred to, the delegates to the, conference of the Taranaki A. and P. associations. Messrs. R,. P. Morrissey and Co. applied for the use of the yards for the purpose of holding a pedigree Jersey sale on July 15.—1 t was decided that the request be granted, subject to the usual conditions. Committees, were elected as follow: Finance—Messrs, B. C. Lysnght, F. Gillanders, A. Hunter and A. E? Death. Grounds—Messrs. B. C. Lysao-ht, W. McL’Dowie, O. H. Washer, F. Gillanders, and D. S, Richardson. It was decided that the presidentand treasurer he an executive to deal with any urgent business. Fanning committee—Mr. B. C. Lysaght. On the motion of Messrs. Tonks and Middleton, the last- Saturday in each month was appointed as the date of meeting for the general committee. New Members were elected as follows : Messrs. A. Simons flnaha). T. J. Q nlmou (Hawera), Geo. Cooper, R. A. Ritcher, H. Legge, A. Agostineli (MokoiaL A. E. Alexander (Hawera), and B. Phillips (Okaiawa). Mr. Middleton suggested that an effort should be made to raise funds by means of a stock drive, on the lines adopted by the Wanganui A. and P. Association, and Messrs. H. E. JohnKor1 ' p- H. Washer, D. S. Richardson and A. Lankow were appointed a committee to- go into the matter and report to the next meeting.
