BOXING. ARR ANGING TERMS. KY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received June 16, 9.30 a.m. BUENOS AYRES, June 14. Negotiations for the Wills—Firpo match have been resumed between Firpo and Juan Homs, Rickard’s agent, on the basis of a new offer by Rickard considerably reducing the original offer of 150,000 dollars. Rickard lowered the sum because of the failure of Wills to knock out Madden. The new terms have not been disclosed, but it is understood that a large reduction in the guarantee is balanced by an offer of a liberal percentage of the gate receipts. Firpo requested time to finish his cinema production. He does not want to leave for the United States before July 17.—Reuter. CRICKET. POOR EXHIBITION BY SOUTH AFRICA. LONDON, June 14. The Observer says that the South Africans scarcely created a test niateh atmosphere. Their bowling was lacking in variety and deadliness, and was not the type to which the Australians have accustomed us, nor was the fielding, though good, up to Australian standard. The pitch was so good that one absorbing topic of discussion was Taylor’s reason for putting England in. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TENNIS. DAVIS CUP. Received June 16, 9.55 a.m. COPENHAGEN, June 15.
