THE WEATHER
COLD NIGHT EXPECTED.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day that for 24 hours irom 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for easterly winds, moderate to strong, and hacking by east to north, then freshening. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. The night will probably be very cold, with frosts inland, hut the weather will probably become warmer shortly. The barometer has a falling tendency. Sea and tides moderate.
