DUNEDIN EXHIBITION
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, June 13. Ihe Industrial Corporation of New Zealand, after a long discussion on the New Zealand and South Sea Exhibition, to be held at .Dunedin next year, resolved that as representing the manufacturers of the Dominion, they cannot, as an organisation, support any exhibition qr enterprise displaying foreign goods. The conference refers to each association for individual action the question of dealing with the exhibition of New Zealand goods at the New Zealand and South Sea Exhibition.

DANNEVIRKE. June 13. Sir Ge9rge M.P. for Waipawa, delivered a pre-session al speech at Makotuku to a good attendance, rnaking ai vigorous reply to recent speeches in the electorate by Mr Wilford. At the conclusion he was accorded a> unanimous vote of thanks and confidence. OAMARU LOAN PROPOSALS. WELLINGTON, June 13. The Oamaru Borough Council last night adopted proposals aggregating £127,816, made uo of: Drainage £9728, waterworks £18,500, gasworks £21,828, road plant £7260, and a special loan for a suburban area now included in the borough. FIRE, AT INVERCARGILL. INVERCARGILL, June 13. A fire occurred soon after midnight in the premises of Kingsland Bros, and Anderson, wool and skin merchants, situated behind a closely-built block in Tay Street. The flames soon had a strong hold and spread to the roof of the Albion Picture Theatre. The brigade made a splendid save, and the main damage was confined to the storeroom, which contained about £4OOO worth of rabibtskins and other produce valued at £ISOO. The stock was covered in the National by an onen policy of £15,000. ‘ '
