Her tulle ven leli from a coronet of orange blossoms, and she earned a sheaf ex arum lines. The train, lined with pale blue georgette, was held by two Tattle train-bearers, .Joyce Koberston (cousin of the bridei and Helen Kobertson, niece of the bride;, who wore dainty scalloped frocKs or pa vest blue ci epe-ue-chrne, hnished witn pmk rosebuds and wreaths round their heads, and canned tiny pink posies. The bridesmaids were the Misses nae Pease, Mattie Robertson, Edith n uliams (.Hastings;, and Agnes Dunlop, who wore fronts of satin morocam in rainbow' colours, with hats silver tissue and lace, and carried posies to tone with their frocks. The bridegroom was supported by Mr J. Andrews, ihinedin, as nest man, and Mr W. E. Barber as groomsman. After the ceremony a leception was helci in the Presbyterian Hall, Mr and 'Mrs Kobertson receiving their guests in the vestibule, Mi's Kobertson wearing a frock of black satin arid lace, and a. smart black and gold hat, and carried a mauve bouquet. Mrs Dunlop, mother of the bridegroom, was in a, smart gown of,grey and black brocade, with a huge black and. white hat and carried a white bouquet. Later Mr and Mrs W. Dunlop left by car for the south on their wedding ; tonr, the bride travelling in a nigger brown three-piece suit with hat to tone and a bi’owui fur coat.
GIBSON—PIIGHAM. The marriage was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church, Hawera, on Tuesday, June 3, of Ivy May, only daughter of Mr and Mrs T. A. Higham, Wellington Street, Hawera, to Air Charles Gibson, of Taumarunui. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in ivory white erepe-de-chine, trimmed with silver lace and caught at the side with a pearl ornament. She wore a gold wristlet watch—the gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. The' bride’s veil was beautifully embroidered and was surmounted by a coronet of pearls, it being specially made by Mrs Armitage, of Wanganui. She was attended by two cousins, Misses H. and F. Cleaver, of Wanganui, who wore cream frocks with touches of pink and carried shower bouquets of mauve flowers. The best man was Air Colin Wishart, of Taihape, and the groomsman Air J. Lewis, of Hawera. .. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. W. Monaghan. The guests were received at the Carlton Tea Rooms by Alr.s Higham, who wore a smart faivn costume of blue and gold. Among those present were friends and relations from Wanganui, Napis?*, Pahiatua, New Plymouth and Auckland. Many presents were received by the bride and bridegroom. The happy couple left for Wanganui en route to Wellington.
