(Received 2, q.ioa.m* London, July I "The' Times" asserts that but little has been done to render tne Imperial Conference next year successful Attention is needed to the unification and nationalisation of laws, common commercial code, trade marks.and the growing menace of double taxation. Moreover, the Courts of the Motherland and the dominions deal with each other as if they were foreign countries. The whole subject of Imperial Defence rtquires constant consideration, as also does tht development of means of communication between the centre and the remote parts of the Empire.
