Mr Alex. Campbell, of Hawke's Bay, recognised as one of the best, if not the best, mile runners in the world, will compete at the Boxing Day meeting in Feilding. He is in exceptionally good form, and is hoping 10 lower his previous record of 4.22 3-sth. His recent performance at Foxton, winning from scratch the half-mile in 2.2, and the mile in 4.40, is phenomenal.
