CONDITIONS. NOMINATIONS for all events close with the Secretary at 9 p.m. on SATURDAY, December 4th, at the Petane Hotel. WEIGHTS will be declared on SATURDAY, December 11th, at 9 p.m. ACCEPTANCES close with the Secretary at 9 p.m. on SATURDAY, December 18th, at the Petane Hotel. Races No. 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8 open only to District horses who have never won more than £3O in any one race, District iiaces excepted. Definition of District Horses. —Must have been owned in the sPetane Distriet at least two months previous to the date of Race Maeting. Such horses can be trained anywhere, but must be stabled within the district boundaries at night. Boundaries for the District are as follows:—From Waihua to Te Haroto Station, thence on in a straight line to Kuripapaugu, following ths Ngaruroro River to the Umahu bridge, thence continue on the Napier-Omahu road to the Redclift'e bridge, then on. to and embracing the Springfield, North British and P. Neagle's(Greenmeadows)Estates,from there fallow Napier-Wharerangi road to Inner Harbour, following latter to Westsnore, and continue along the sea beach to Waihua. All horses in each and every race on the Programme to be ridden by Gentlemen Riders or Emergency Riders. Aplication for the necessary permission to issue these latter permits will be made by the Club to the Hawke's Bay Jockey rlub, the Metropolitan Club of the District. Entries will only be received on the condition that a decision of the majority of the Stewards shall be final on any point arising out of the definition of District boundaries. A limited number of Bookmaker's Licenses will be issued at a fee of 3 Guineas each, with a deposit of £lO. Applications for licenses to be made to the .Secretary before 11 a.m. on the day of tiiie meeting. Any bookmaker following his business without having first paid and obtained a license will be remaned from the ground and prosecuted as tresspassers. QPEJ£ RACES--To be restricted to horses that have never won more than £4O in any one race at time of starting. Minimum weight in all races to oe lOst 71b. Second Jkorse (except in Bracelet Han dicap) to receive 10 per cent from the stakeIn all nominations, description, age, pedigree and performances of horses, name the irainer. and colours of the i iders must be given.
