SALE OF YEARLINGS. Christchurch, November 11. Messrs Pyne and Co. to-day sold Elderslie and Burnside yearlings. There was a good attendance of representative owner? and breeders. Taken all together, the yearlings were of a choice class, and. though some were well competed for, quite a number were disposed of at prices well within their value. The co't by Achilles from Stepka was accidently killed, and the filly by Stepniak—Miss Palrymple was offered and no bid was forthcoming, and she was sold privately to Mr Buchanan. On the Stepniak-Madder filly, who met with an accident. Mr Reid placed a reserve, and so brought her in at 200gs. Lot I and 3 of the Warrington yearlings were not brought info the ring, owing to accidents.
